Guillermo Leanos- Mi Linda Michoacana

Mi Linda Michoacana was started in 2016 by Guillermo Leanos and Claudia Valles to spread the memory and new experiences of the Latin Culture for those seeking a taste of Mexico. In 2017, Mi Linda Michoacana began to introduce new products along with their ice cream. This increased interest throughout the community, allowing the business to thrive. In 2021, the owners started looking at the next step in their expansion by planning to build a new, larger facility to help them grow sales and serve their customers better. 

 

After talking to their lender, it was suggested that they come seek the SBDC’s help to get a professional business plan and financial projections in order to obtain the funding they needed. Long time SBDC employee Becky Castilleja, Center Program Coordinator, stepped up by brushing up on her business Spanish, and the SBDC worked as a team to provide bilingual business consulting services to better convey the owners’ business concept in writing.
